Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute complex scientific experiments in a laboratory setting, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data effectively to project teams and senior management.
  • Develop and optimize novel assays, techniques, and experimental models to address key research questions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks, records, and documentation.
  • Stay abreast of scientific literature and emerging technologies relevant to your field of research.
  • Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues from various disciplines, including pharmacology, toxicology, and clinical development.
  • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and scientific discussions to drive project progression.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards in research.
  • Mentor junior scientists or research associates as required.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field, or a Master's degree with significant relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience (post-Ph.D. or equivalent industry experience).
  • Proficiency in cell culture techniques, including primary cell isolation and maintenance.
  • Expertise in molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, Western Blot, ELISA, cloning).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postdoctoral experience in an academic or industry setting.
  • Experience with flow cytometry, microscopy, or advanced imaging techniques.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and statistical software for data analysis.
  • Prior experience in drug discovery or target validation within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
