Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers area. This pivotal role involves ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of Rolls-Royce’s advanced engineering systems and machinery. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be instrumental in executing comprehensive maintenance programs, conducting diagnostics, and performing corrective and preventative actions on complex equipment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational integrity of various mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, crucial to our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on Rolls-Royce machinery and systems, ensuring optimal operational performance.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide maintenance activities and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies during all maintenance operations.
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts usage, accurately and comprehensively within our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and reliability enhancements.
- Participate in the commissioning and decommissioning of equipment, ensuring proper installation, testing, and handover procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or operational staff as required, fostering a knowledge-sharing environment.
- Manage spare parts inventory, anticipating needs and ensuring availability of critical components to minimize downtime.
- Conduct risk assessments for maintenance tasks and implement appropriate control measures.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and industrial control circuits.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Reliability Engineering).

- Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
