Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments according to established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare samples, reagents, and media with high accuracy and precision.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, troubleshooting minor issues as needed.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety regulations, and quality control standards.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and presentations.
- Manage laboratory supplies, inventory, and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Collaborate effectively with scientific staff, researchers, and other technicians to achieve project goals.
- Participate in laboratory maintenance, cleanliness, and organization to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology).
- 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation).
- Strong understanding of GLP and laboratory safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately record and maintain experimental data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, PCR).
- Knowledge of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) or other electronic data management tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA) in a pharmaceutical context.
- Experience in aseptic techniques and cell culture.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to challenges.
