Job Description

As a Checkout Operator, you will be at the heart of our customer service experience, playing a vital role in ensuring every shopper leaves our store with a smile. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions, handling cash and card payments, and providing a helpful and friendly service.

Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of payment, ensuring proper reconciliation.
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service throughout their checkout experience.
- Scan items, apply discounts, and bag groceries carefully, following store guidelines.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve minor issues or direct them to appropriate colleagues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to age-restricted sales.
- Assist with other store duties as needed, contributing to overall store efficiency and cleanliness.
- Actively promote store loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
- Ensure accuracy in pricing and product identification.
Required Skills
