Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of payment, ensuring proper reconciliation.
  • Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, helpful service throughout their checkout experience.
  • Scan items, apply discounts, and bag groceries carefully, following store guidelines.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve minor issues or direct them to appropriate colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked checkout area.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to age-restricted sales.
  • Assist with other store duties as needed, contributing to overall store efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Actively promote store loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
  • Ensure accuracy in pricing and product identification.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
