Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory experiments for new product development, reformulation, and process improvement, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Formulate and test prototypes, evaluating their performance against specified criteria, consumer insights, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures, raw materials, results, and analyses in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams to ensure seamless product development from concept to launch.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and present findings clearly and concisely to senior team members.
  • Participate in pilot plant trials and manufacturing scale-up activities, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and raw material innovations relevant to assigned product categories.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of analytical methods and testing procedures.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Material Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of scientific principles and laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product development or R&D within the FMCG industry (e.g., personal care, home care, food & beverage).
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Experience with statistical analysis software or data visualization tools.
  • Proven ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in a corporate R&D setting.
