Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor risk exposures and track key risk indicators (KRIs) on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the development, implementation, and refinement of effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive and insightful risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate proactively with various business units and departments to integrate robust risk management practices into their operations.
  • Support the development, validation, and enhancement of risk models and methodologies.
  • Analyze industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust risk frameworks.
  • Participate in risk-focused projects and initiatives, contributing expert analysis and support.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, finance, or a related analytical role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, R).
  • Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and banking operations.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Solid written and verbal communication abilities, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, Dodd-Frank).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, PRM).
  • Experience with risk management software platforms and GRC tools.
  • Familiarity with financial crime compliance, operational risk, or credit risk analysis.
