Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced financial leader to join Lombard Odier as our Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer will be a pivotal member of our Executive Committee, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategy, and performance across our global organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with Lombard Odier's long-term business objectives and growth ambitions.
- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with IFRS and Swiss regulations.
- Lead and mentor a global finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage financial risk, including liquidity, market, and operational risks, implementing robust control frameworks.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other senior executives on key business decisions, investments, and M&A activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and governance standards in Switzerland and across international jurisdictions.
- Optimize capital structure, treasury functions, and cash flow management to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and technological advancements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging the provided training.
- Cultivate strong relationships with external auditors, regulators, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Act as a guardian of the firm's assets, ensuring prudent financial management and stewardship.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in senior financial management roles, preferably within the financial services or private banking sector.
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning, analysis, and execution at an executive level.
- Deep expertise in financial reporting (IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse finance organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including the Board and external parties.
- Profound understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance within a complex financial institution.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent professional accounting designation.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in Finance.
- Direct experience in a CFO or Head of Finance role within a private bank, wealth management firm, or asset management company.
- Familiarity with the Swiss financial regulatory landscape (FINMA).
- Fluency in French and/or German (in addition to English) is highly advantageous.
