Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments, analyze credit applications, and determine eligibility for various loan products.
- Present and explain loan terms, conditions, and repayment schedules clearly and effectively to clients.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Scotiabank lending policies, compliance regulations, and ethical standards.
- Actively engage in business development activities to attract new clients and expand market share in the Rehoboth Beach area.
- Collaborate with internal banking specialists to cross-sell other financial products and enhance the client relationship.
- Stay informed on current market trends, interest rates, and competitive offerings to provide relevant advice.
- Process loan applications accurately and efficiently, from initial inquiry to final disbursement.
- Provide ongoing exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar lending/financial sales role.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, assess credit risk, and make informed lending decisions.
- Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Thorough understanding of various loan products (e.g., personal, mortgage, business) and lending regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
