As a Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for understanding clients’ unique financial goals, risk tolerances, and life stages. You will develop personalized financial plans and recommend appropriate products and services from TD Bank’s comprehensive suite, always prioritizing the client’s best interests. Your role will involve working closely with clients to monitor their progress, adapt strategies as needed in response to market changes or life events, and ensure their long-term financial well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and objectives through active listening and thorough questioning.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses for clients, covering investment planning, retirement planning, education savings, insurance, and wealth management strategies.
  • Design and implement personalized financial plans and investment strategies tailored to individual client goals, risk profiles, and time horizons.
  • Educate clients on various financial products and services offered by TD Bank, ensuring clear understanding, suitability, and alignment with their financial objectives.
  • Monitor client portfolios and financial situations, proactively adjusting strategies to align with market changes, economic trends, and evolving client needs.
  • Proactively identify and cultivate new client relationships through networking, referrals, community engagement, and strategic prospecting efforts.
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC, state) and internal bank policies and procedures to maintain the highest ethical standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with branch partners and specialists (e.g., mortgage, small business) to provide holistic financial solutions and enhance the client experience.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in financial advisory, wealth management, or a related client-facing financial role.
  • Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65) licenses are mandatory.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance licenses are required.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products (mutual funds, annuities, equities, bonds), and economic principles.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, establish trust, and maintain long-term relationships with diverse client segments.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and unwavering commitment to acting in the client's best interests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation or actively pursuing certification.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of clients and complex financial situations.
  • Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish), particularly beneficial for the local community.
  • Prior experience working in a retail banking environment with a focus on comprehensive financial planning.
