Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis of client and prospective borrower financial statements, cash flows, and projections.
  • Assess credit risk and identify mitigating factors across various industries and client segments.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, reports, and memoranda for review by credit committees and senior management.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure appropriate credit facilities that meet client needs and RBC's risk parameters.
  • Monitor existing credit portfolios for changes in financial condition, industry trends, and compliance with covenants.
  • Ensure strict adherence to RBC's credit policies, risk appetite, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings and due diligence processes as required.
  • Provide ongoing support and expertise to internal stakeholders on credit-related matters.
  • Stay abreast of economic conditions, industry developments, and financial market trends.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit analysis processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a related lending role.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
  • Proven ability to assess credit risk and make sound analytical judgments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
