In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessments to support lending decisions across a diverse portfolio of clients, including commercial, corporate, and high-net-worth individuals. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of client and prospective borrower financial statements, cash flows, and projections.
- Assess credit risk and identify mitigating factors across various industries and client segments.
- Prepare comprehensive credit proposals, reports, and memoranda for review by credit committees and senior management.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to structure appropriate credit facilities that meet client needs and RBC's risk parameters.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for changes in financial condition, industry trends, and compliance with covenants.
- Ensure strict adherence to RBC's credit policies, risk appetite, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Participate in client meetings and due diligence processes as required.
- Provide ongoing support and expertise to internal stakeholders on credit-related matters.
- Stay abreast of economic conditions, industry developments, and financial market trends.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit analysis processes and tools.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a related lending role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to assess credit risk and make sound analytical judgments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
