Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our team, operating from our Middletown, Delaware office. This role is crucial for delivering complex technology solutions and driving successful project outcomes for our diverse client base. As a Project Manager at IBM Canada, you will be instrumental in leading cross-functional teams, managing project lifecycles from initiation to closure, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, as well as developing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies. You will work closely with clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring alignment on project objectives and expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocations.
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to all stakeholders, including clients and executive leadership.
- Manage client expectations, ensuring satisfaction and fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and thoroughly throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
- Adhere to IBM's project management methodologies, tools, and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the IT or technology sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience in risk management and change management.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
