Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS) for anomalous activities, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and potential threats.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of security events, alerts, and logs to identify true positives and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Perform incident response activities, including triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, providing threat intelligence to relevant teams.
- Participate in vulnerability management activities, including scanning, assessment, and remediation tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Generate comprehensive security reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity operations or analyst role.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC certifications).
- Experience with security automation and orchestration (SOAR) platforms.
- Knowledge of digital forensics and malware analysis techniques.
