Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provide professional and empathetic patient counseling on medication use, potential side effects, adherence strategies, and drug interactions.
- Offer evidence-based advice on over-the-counter (OTC) products, health supplements, and general health inquiries to support customer well-being.
- Conduct basic health screenings (e.g., blood pressure, blood glucose) and provide health education to customers on disease prevention and management.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring strict adherence to data protection regulations and company policies.
- Actively manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
- Ensure continuous compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and company standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacy assistants, retail staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless and integrated patient care.
- Participate actively in continuous professional development and internal training programs to enhance pharmaceutical knowledge and skills.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently, aiming for satisfactory resolution and exceptional service.
Required Skills
- Possess a valid Pharmacist Registration Certificate with the Singapore Pharmacy Council (SPC).
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from a recognized institution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (proficiency in a second language such as Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil is highly advantageous to serve our diverse customer base).
