Job Description

As a Data Analyst at Chevron, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets, developing predictive models, and creating compelling data visualizations. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform statistical analysis and build predictive models to forecast outcomes and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Identify and interpret data quality issues, working to resolve them to ensure data integrity.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and tools.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Expertise in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with the energy, oil & gas, or utilities industry.
