Job Description

Chevron is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in the East End, Waterbury. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for critical plant equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage maintenance projects, from scope definition to successful execution and post-implementation review.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, and safety teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset history, and performance metrics.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance technicians and other engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes, reliability, and cost reduction.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering in an industrial setting (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing).
  • Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, including PDM, PM, and RCA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry safety standards and environmental regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with process control systems and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas or chemical processing industries.
