Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Naugatuck, Connecticut, for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of complex projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope, clear objectives, realistic schedules, robust budgets, and efficient resource allocation strategies.
- Assemble, motivate, and manage cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, mentorship, and support to ensure successful achievement of project milestones and deliverables.
- Proactively monitor and control project progress, continuously identifying and mitigating potential risks, resolving issues, and managing scope changes effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to all corporate safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance standards throughout every phase of the project lifecycle.
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, contractors, and relevant regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
- Oversee comprehensive contract management processes, including vendor selection, negotiation of terms, and rigorous performance monitoring of third-party service providers.
- Prepare and present regular, insightful project status reports, financial forecasts, and key performance indicators to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective and transparent communication and collaboration among all project participants to foster a cohesive and productive working environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years (72 months) of progressive, hands-on experience in project management, specifically within the energy, petrochemical, heavy industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale, complex capital projects from conceptualization through to operational handover.
- Demonstrated expertise in applying project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Waterfall) and proficiency with project management software tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multi-million dollar project budgets, aggressive schedules, and diverse human resources.
- Strong capabilities in risk management, change management, and advanced stakeholder engagement techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical), Business Administration, or a closely related technical field.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, and highly regulated environment, while effectively managing multiple priorities and adapting to evolving challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent globally recognized project management credential.
- Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for comprehensive project financial and resource management.
- In-depth familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, industry codes, and standards specific to the oil and gas or broader energy sector.
- Prior experience in new energy technologies, decarbonization projects, or sustainability initiatives.
