Key Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes and equipment to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
- Conduct detailed process simulations, data analysis, and technical evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., operations, research & development, safety) to execute projects from conception through commissioning.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to ensure operational targets are met.
- Lead and participate in hazard assessments, risk analyses, and incident investigations to maintain a robust safety culture.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a chemical process industry environment (e.g., oil & gas, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals).
- Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and mass transfer.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Hysys, PRO/II).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively working towards one.
- Experience with advanced process control systems and data analytics platforms.
- Project management experience within an industrial setting.
