Key Responsibilities
- Execute planned maintenance, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance tasks on offshore production and utility equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety regulations.
- Operate and monitor process control systems, making adjustments as necessary to maintain production targets and efficiency.
- Strictly adhere to all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Complete accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
- Participate in pre-job safety analysis (JSA), hazard identification, and risk assessment processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and logistics personnel.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in work areas and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the optimization of operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, performing duties as part of the emergency response team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technician in an industrial or offshore environment.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process Technology.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines).
- Strong understanding of safety management systems and permit-to-work procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical fitness and ability to pass offshore medical and survival training requirements.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Offshore specific experience in oil and gas production facilities.
- Advanced certifications in specific technical domains (e.g., ATEX, HV/LV Electrical, CompEx).
- Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with Shell's safety standards and operational practices.
- Leadership potential or experience mentoring junior technicians.
