Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in Centerra, Loveland. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our equipment and production processes. You will work with state-of-the-art automation and control systems, including Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA solutions, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues, implementing innovative solutions, and continuously improving maintenance procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and automation systems, including Siemens PLCs (e.g., S7 series), HMIs, and SCADA.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
- Implement corrective maintenance actions efficiently to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify root causes of failures and propose long-term solutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment and systems.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC programming (e.g., TIA Portal, Step 7) and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, HMI, and SCADA technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical faults.
- Experience with industrial networks (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault finding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Adherence to safety standards and practices in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Siemens certifications in industrial automation or control systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
