Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate and institutional clients, including reviewing financial statements, projections, and industry trends.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda and reports, summarizing findings, identifying key risks, and recommending appropriate credit structures and limits.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of existing credit portfolios, including tracking covenant compliance and assessing changes in borrower risk profiles.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Senior Credit Officers to facilitate new credit approvals, renewals, and modifications.
  • Stay abreast of economic developments, regulatory changes, and industry-specific trends that may impact credit risk.
  • Participate in client meetings and due diligence calls as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk mitigation strategies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or risk management within a financial institution
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or CFA designation (or progress towards)
  • Experience with credit risk software and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
  • Familiarity with various credit products (e.g., corporate loans, trade finance, derivatives)
