Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Financial Advisors in all aspects of client service and portfolio management, including account opening, maintenance, and transfer processes.
  • Prepare client review materials, performance reports, and financial planning documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Process trades, money movements, and other client requests efficiently and in compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing prompt and accurate information or escalating to the Financial Advisor as needed.
  • Conduct research on investment products, market trends, and economic conditions to support portfolio construction and client recommendations.
  • Maintain organized client files and CRM records, ensuring all client interactions and relevant data are meticulously documented.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., operations, compliance, legal) to resolve client issues and streamline processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client service delivery and operational efficiency, contributing to the team's overall success.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, firm policies, and financial market developments to ensure compliance and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services, wealth management, or a related client-facing role.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 & 65) licenses are required or must be obtained within a defined timeframe.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service excellence and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and financial planning software.
  • Familiarity with Morgan Stanley's proprietary systems and platforms.
  • A Master's degree or advanced professional designation (e.g., CFA, CFP®).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
