Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and identify areas of potential vulnerability and risk.
  • Monitor business activities to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, complaints, and policy violations, reporting findings to senior management.
  • Provide expert compliance advice and guidance to business units on new products, services, and operational changes.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Stay abreast of changes in financial laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the firm and recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and risk management teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to governance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, Dodd-Frank, Consumer Protection laws).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM, FINRA Series licenses).
  • Experience with regulatory examinations and internal audit processes.
  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD).
