Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage general ledger accounts, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests, providing necessary documentation and explanations promptly.
  • Collaborate with various business units to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and provide specialized accounting support.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, contributing to a robust and compliant control environment.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiency, and system functionality.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized financial records in accordance with retention policies.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial insights and reports to management as required for strategic decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis and complex reconciliations.
