Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage general ledger accounts, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit requests, providing necessary documentation and explanations promptly.
- Collaborate with various business units to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and provide specialized accounting support.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies, contributing to a robust and compliant control environment.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiency, and system functionality.
- Maintain comprehensive and organized financial records in accordance with retention policies.

Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis and complex reconciliations.
