Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Perform audit procedures on financial statements and internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other compliance documents.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and managers on client engagements.
- Develop and maintain working papers to support audit findings and financial analysis.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and clarify details.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Utilize various accounting software and tools to streamline processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Actively pursuing CPA certification or already a CPA candidate
- Experience with major accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Previous internship or relevant work experience in an accounting firm or corporate accounting department
- Familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
