Key Responsibilities
- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Perform tax research and analysis, documenting findings and supporting conclusions related to tax issues.
- Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and supporting work papers for financial reporting purposes.
- Support senior tax professionals in client engagements, including data gathering, reconciliations, and ad-hoc projects.
- Develop a strong understanding of client businesses and industry-specific tax considerations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding tax matters and deliverables.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the tax practice.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting.
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Previous internship or professional experience in tax or accounting.
- Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., GoSystem, CCH Axcess).
