Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and curate library collections, including selection, acquisition, cataloging, and shelving of materials across various formats.
- Provide expert reference and research assistance to patrons, guiding them to relevant resources and developing their information literacy skills.
- Design and deliver engaging library programs, workshops, and outreach activities for diverse age groups and community segments.
- Promote the use of digital resources, online databases, and emerging library technologies to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop innovative library services and initiatives.
- Maintain an updated knowledge of library trends, best practices, and technological advancements in information science.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a library or information center environment
- Proficiency in library management systems and database searching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in English; ability to communicate in other official languages (Malay, Mandarin, Tamil) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS/MLS)
- Experience with digital archiving, preservation, or metadata management
- Demonstrated ability in program development and event coordination
