Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our operational team in Scammon Bay, Bethel. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule the daily pick-up and delivery of packages and freight, optimizing routes for efficiency and timely service in a remote environment.
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing real-time updates and resolving any transit issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, internal departments, customers, and external vendors to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, customs forms, and other compliance-related paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities, utilizing UPS proprietary software and other relevant systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards, particularly those relevant to remote Alaskan operations.
  • Proactively identify and address potential logistical bottlenecks, developing creative solutions to maintain service continuity.
  • Assist in inventory management and warehousing tasks as needed, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints related to shipments with professionalism and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with logistics software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
