Key Responsibilities
- Process ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds accurately and efficiently using Delta's reservation systems.
- Assist passengers with flight check-in, seat assignments, and baggage inquiries, ensuring a smooth start to their journey.
- Provide comprehensive information regarding flight schedules, fares, travel restrictions, and Delta SkyMiles program details.
- Handle passenger complaints and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy, escalating complex problems to supervisors when necessary.
- Verify passenger identification and travel documents, ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulations.
- Manage rebooking and rerouting processes for passengers affected by flight delays, cancellations, or missed connections.
- Process payments, balance cash drawers, and maintain meticulous records of all transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming work environment at the ticketing counter.
- Adhere to all Delta Air Lines policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with airport operations, gate agents, and baggage services teams to ensure coordinated passenger service.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an airport or travel-related industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and courteously with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new reservation systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with airline reservation systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo).
- Familiarity with IATA ticketing rules and regulations.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, but not required.
- Associate’s degree or higher in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
