Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks, in accordance with Ford's specifications.
  • Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking systems, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure proper functionality and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, diagnostic findings, and recommended repairs.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures in the service bay.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with Ford's evolving technology and service procedures.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient service department environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably with Ford or a similar domestic brand.
  • ASE certification(s) in relevant areas (e.g., Engine Repair, Brakes, Suspension & Steering, Electrical/Electronic Systems).
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and braking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ford factory training and certifications (e.g., Senior Master Technician, Certified Diesel Technician).
  • Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle diagnostics and repair.
  • Associate's degree or vocational training in Automotive Technology.
  • Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) and electronic service records.
