Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automotive applications, ensuring compliance with performance, cost, and quality targets.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including FEA, CFD, and kinematic simulations, to validate design integrity and optimize performance.
  • Create and manage technical documentation, including CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, electrical engineering) to ensure seamless integration and manufacturability of designs.
  • Plan and execute physical testing of prototypes and production components, analyzing results and implementing design revisions as necessary.
  • Identify and resolve complex engineering problems using root cause analysis techniques and innovative solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and competitive products to inform future design strategies and product enhancements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Catia V5/V6, SolidWorks, NX).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the automotive industry, particularly with vehicle body, chassis, or powertrain systems.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience with PDM/PLM systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, casting, injection molding, and welding.
