Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead shifts to ensure smooth and efficient store operations, maintaining Starbucks' high standards of service and product quality.
- Act as a role model for partners, providing coaching, direction, and support to enhance team performance and cultivate a positive work environment.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently, resolving customer concerns and escalating issues as necessary.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including till reconciliation, deposits, and adherence to company policies.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organising products to minimise waste and ensure availability.
- Train new partners on company policies, procedures, beverage preparation, and customer service excellence.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and appealing store environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the Store Manager in implementing company initiatives, promotions, and operational improvements.
- Prepare and serve a full range of Starbucks beverages and food items with precision and passion.
- Communicate effectively with the management team regarding shift performance, partner development, and operational needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or retail environment (minimum 12 months)
- Demonstrated leadership potential or previous experience in a supervisory role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS systems
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in coffee preparation
- Food safety and hygiene certification
- Experience in training and coaching team members
- A genuine passion for coffee and the Starbucks brand
