Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various internal and external sources to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms to present key performance indicators and trends.
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis, including regression analysis, forecasting, and segmentation, to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders across marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design effective data solutions that address specific challenges.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of data models, analytical methodologies, and data governance practices.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and deep-dive investigations to provide timely insights for critical business decisions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, new analytical techniques, and data technologies to continually enhance our capabilities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role (minimum 2 years).
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Expertise with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in business contexts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with a programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Prior experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
