Job Description

We are actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Ajax, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including fillers, labelers, and cartoners, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform routine quality checks on packaged products, verifying labels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and overall product integrity.
  • Set up, adjust, and clean packaging equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including batch records and quality logs, in compliance with GMP regulations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or supervisory staff.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and quality standards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including material handling and product staging.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging processes and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals, food, or consumer goods.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot basic machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a GMP-regulated facility.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
