Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine quality checks, in-process inspections, and document production data accurately.
  • Execute assembly, packaging, and labeling tasks for various medical devices or consumer health products.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production targets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with equipment changeovers, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance as required.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and batch records with precision and legibility.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read, understand, and precisely follow written instructions (SOPs, batch records).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery.
  • Proficiency in basic math calculations.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) in French, with working knowledge of English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or vocational training in a relevant field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
