Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine quality checks, in-process inspections, and document production data accurately.
- Execute assembly, packaging, and labeling tasks for various medical devices or consumer health products.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production targets.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing practices.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist with equipment changeovers, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance as required.
- Complete all necessary documentation and batch records with precision and legibility.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or a highly regulated industry.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read, understand, and precisely follow written instructions (SOPs, batch records).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate production machinery.
- Proficiency in basic math calculations.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) in French, with working knowledge of English.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or vocational training in a relevant field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
