Job Description
Accenture is seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Salesforce Technical Architect for an immediate start to join our dynamic team in Detroit, Michigan. In this pivotal role, you will be the architectural backbone for complex Salesforce implementations, guiding our clients through the most challenging digital transformations. You will be instrumental in designing scalable, high-performance, and secure Salesforce solutions that align perfectly with business objectives and industry best practices. As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will lead discovery workshops, define technical requirements, and formulate comprehensive solution blueprints. Your responsibilities will span across the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through development, testing, and deployment. You will mentor junior developers, perform critical code reviews, and ensure the overall technical integrity and quality of our Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and CPQ, alongside proficiency in integration patterns, data modeling, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and technical best practices.
- Conduct architectural reviews, identify technical debt, and propose solutions for optimization and scalability.
- Define integration strategies between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using various integration patterns (SOAP, REST, Platform Events, etc.).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and specifications.
- Oversee code quality, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to security, performance, and governance standards.
- Stay current with Salesforce product releases, new features, and industry trends to advise clients on best-fit solutions.
- Manage technical risks and challenges, proposing mitigation strategies and innovative solutions.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including solutioning, effort estimation, and presentation of technical approaches to prospective clients.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 4 years in a Technical Architect role.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale Salesforce solutions for enterprise clients.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce declarative features, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura Components.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and integration capabilities.
- Experience with various Salesforce Clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or Salesforce Certified System Architect (or equivalent certifications/experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or active pursuit of CTA certification.
- Experience with other Salesforce clouds such as Marketing Cloud, Pardot, CPQ, Field Service Lightning, or Health Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for Salesforce (e.g., Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines).
- Prior consulting experience in a client-facing role.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
