Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate complex digital and analog hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, and component selection.
  • Perform functional verification and debug of hardware prototypes, including board bring-up and characterization.
  • Collaborate with architecture, firmware, and software teams to define hardware requirements and interfaces.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for hardware validation, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Generate detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to continuously improve design processes and product quality.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in hardware design and propose innovative solutions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in digital and/or analog hardware design.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer).
  • Strong understanding of high-speed digital design principles, signal integrity, and power delivery networks.
  • Experience with hardware lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
  • Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI).
  • Solid problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with FPGA design and verification (VHDL/Verilog).
  • Knowledge of processor architectures (e.g., x86, ARM) and memory interfaces (DDR).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl) for automation and data analysis.
  • Experience in power management design, low-power techniques, or battery-powered systems.
  • Prior experience working on server, client, or embedded computing platforms.
