Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure within Meta's ecosystem.
- Develop and deploy automation tools and scripts to streamline cloud operations and infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand application requirements and translate them into robust cloud solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and internal policies.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide operational support and incident response for critical cloud services.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and best practices to enhance our infrastructure capabilities.
- Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to capacity planning and performance tuning of cloud resources.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or large-scale private cloud environments.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or C++.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects related to cloud computing or infrastructure.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
