Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure within Meta's ecosystem.
  • Develop and deploy automation tools and scripts to streamline cloud operations and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand application requirements and translate them into robust cloud solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and internal policies.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide operational support and incident response for critical cloud services.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and best practices to enhance our infrastructure capabilities.
  • Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to capacity planning and performance tuning of cloud resources.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or large-scale private cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or C++.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Contributions to open-source projects related to cloud computing or infrastructure.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
