Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from various internal and external sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business impact.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Google Data Studio to communicate key metrics and findings effectively.
- Conduct rigorous statistical analysis, including A/B testing evaluation, regression analysis, and forecasting, to support hypotheses, evaluate product changes, and measure the impact of business initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, marketers, and sales teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs), answer critical business questions, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes using scripting languages to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of data solutions.
- Present complex data findings and insights clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, both verbally and through polished written documentation and presentations, tailoring communication to the audience's technical understanding.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Google's stringent data governance policies and privacy regulations, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
- Stay current with industry best practices in data analysis, data visualization, statistical modeling, and emerging data technologies to continuously improve analytical capabilities and approaches.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and analysis of large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
- Demonstrated experience with leading data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Google Data Studio) to create impactful reports and dashboards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with statistical analysis concepts and A/B testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language for data analysis (e.g., Python or R).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering).
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services, particularly BigQuery, Dataflow, or Dataproc for large-scale data processing.
- Familiarity with large-scale data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and distributed computing concepts.
- Prior experience in the technology sector, especially with user behavior analysis for large-scale online products or services.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and their practical application in enhancing data analysis.
