Amazon in Albuquerque, New-Mexico is seeking a dedicated Inventory Associate to join our fast-paced fulfillment center. As an Inventory Associate, you will be at the heart of our operations, playing a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory counts and ensuring the smooth flow of products through our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming inventory items, accurately verifying counts and conditions against documentation.
- Efficiently and safely stow products in designated locations within the warehouse, optimizing space utilization.
- Perform regular cycle counts and conduct comprehensive inventory audits to maintain precise stock accuracy.
- Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in inventory counts or product conditions, initiating corrective actions.
- Operate various warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (with proper training) safely and efficiently.
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in strict compliance with Amazon’s rigorous safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic inventory-related issues, escalating complex problems to leadership when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to attendance and conduct.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 49 lbs), and moving for extended periods.
- Basic computer navigation skills for data entry and inventory system interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners for tracking goods.
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (PIT), such as forklifts or order pickers (certification a plus).
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing work priorities, assignments, and operational needs.
