Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented, analytical professional with a passion for optimizing logistics operations? DHL Supply Chain is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demands, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Monitor and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and implement customized supply chain solutions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current processes and propose innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and performance standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on supply chain performance, key metrics, and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Utilize supply chain software and tools to track, manage, and report on all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Participate in project teams focused on new client implementations or operational enhancements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for specific supply chain segments, providing guidance and support.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years (36 months) of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
  • Certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution).
  • Experience with lean methodologies or Six Sigma.
  • Prior experience in a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environment.
  • Familiarity with global logistics and international trade regulations.
