Key Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with check-in, boarding, and disembarkation procedures, ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle baggage efficiently and safely, including loading, unloading, and sorting luggage for departing and arriving flights.
- Operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, baggage carts, and belt loaders (training provided).
- Perform aircraft pushback and wing-walking duties, ensuring clear communication with the flight crew.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks of aircraft and surrounding areas for safety and security.
- Maintain clear and accurate communication with flight crews, control towers, and other ground personnel.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and airport procedures.
- Respond to passenger inquiries and resolve issues professionally and courteously.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet flight schedules and operational targets.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain an airport Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and pass a background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Physical ability to lift heavy luggage (up to 70 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, aviation, or a similar operational role
- Familiarity with airport operations and procedures
- Proficiency in additional languages
