Job Description
Join the Air Canada team as a Flight Attendant, based in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada! Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of all passengers and cabin during flights, adhering strictly to Air Canada's safety regulations and Transport Canada guidelines.
- Conduct pre-flight safety checks of the cabin, galleys, and emergency equipment.
- Deliver exceptional in-flight customer service, including welcoming passengers, assisting with seating, and responding to inquiries and requests.
- Serve meals, beverages, and other amenities, maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
- Manage and resolve passenger conflicts, medical emergencies, or other challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Administer first aid when necessary and assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities.
- Assist passengers during boarding and deplaning, and ensure compliance with all airline policies.
- Handle on-board sales and process transactions accurately.
- Prepare comprehensive flight reports following each duty period.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times, representing the Air Canada brand.
- Participate in regular training and re-qualification programs to stay current with safety and service standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 12 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly during emergency situations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to anticipating passenger needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods away from home.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift 50 lbs (23 kg).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid U.S. Passport allowing travel to all Air Canada destinations.
- Legal right to live and work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in French or another international language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, German, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Portuguese, etc.).
- Previous experience in the airline, hospitality, or tourism industries.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
- Experience in a customer-facing role requiring conflict resolution skills.
