Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of aircraft parts, components, and completed assemblies at various stages of the production and maintenance cycle.
  • Verify adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, quality manuals, and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA).
  • Document inspection results thoroughly, including identifying and reporting non-conformances, discrepancies, and defects.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to investigate root causes of quality issues and develop effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Conduct final inspections prior to shipment or delivery, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Operate and calibrate precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the work environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA Part 145, Part 21).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Expertise in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing, to diverse teams.
  • Proficient with computer-based quality management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and certifications.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Previous experience with Bombardier aircraft types or similar business jets.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
