Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bombardier Engineer to join our dynamic team in Poole, England, for an urgent hiring need. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design, analysis, and integration activities for complex mechanical, electrical, or structural systems, adhering to industry standards and company specifications.
  • Conduct detailed technical calculations, simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD), and testing to validate designs and ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including specifications, design reports, test plans, and maintenance manuals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for design or operational issues.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing expert input and incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to continually enhance design practices and product innovation.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in an engineering design or analysis role within aerospace or rail industries.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools (e.g., Ansys, Nastran).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it.
  • Experience with project management methodologies or certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA, EN standards for rail).
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
