Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Dell's own private cloud solutions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
- Monitor cloud environments, proactively identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize resource utilization and system efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate cloud services into existing applications and build out new cloud-native solutions, adhering to best practices and architectural standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Implement and enforce cloud security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal governance requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide expert-level support for cloud-related incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with at least one major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including a strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and task orchestration.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong analytical mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with Dell/VMware cloud solutions (e.g., VMware Cloud Foundation, Dell APEX).
- Knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing) in a cloud context.
- Experience with database technologies, both relational and NoSQL, in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless computing concepts.
