Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kelowna, British Columbia. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, simulate, and verify complex digital and mixed-signal hardware circuits for NVIDIA products, including GPUs, embedded systems, and AI accelerators.
  • Collaborate with architecture, firmware, software, and validation teams to define specifications and integrate hardware solutions.
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout review, and work closely with manufacturing partners for successful product realization.
  • Conduct comprehensive hardware validation, characterization, and debugging activities.
  • Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and drive root cause analysis for hardware issues.
  • Support product bring-up, qualification, and ongoing production issues.
  • Evaluate new technologies, components, and methodologies to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Document design specifications, test procedures, and validation reports thoroughly.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in digital hardware design and validation.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer).
  • Strong understanding of digital logic, microprocessors, memory interfaces (DDR), and high-speed serial protocols (PCIe, USB).
  • Experience with hardware debugging techniques and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
  • Familiarity with PCB design principles and signal integrity concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NVIDIA GPU architectures or similar high-performance computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages for test automation.
  • Knowledge of power delivery networks and power management techniques.
  • Experience with FPGA prototyping and emulation.
  • Understanding of thermal management strategies for high-power devices.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced product development environment.
