Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop complex digital and analog circuits for new Apple products.
- Perform schematic capture, guide PCB layout, and oversee board bring-up and debug processes.
- Conduct thorough hardware validation, characterization, and reliability testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and industrial design to ensure seamless product integration.
- Evaluate and select critical components, managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze system performance and optimize for power efficiency, signal integrity, and cost.
- Document design specifications, test plans, and production procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues throughout the product development cycle.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and apply them to product development.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
- Strong proficiency in digital and/or analog circuit design and analysis.
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer).
- Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC principles.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
- Proven ability to debug complex hardware issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., USB, PCIe, DisplayPort).
- Familiarity with RF design, power management, or battery technology.
- Experience in designing for high-volume consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
- Prior experience leading design blocks or small projects.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles.
