Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop complex digital and analog circuits for new Apple products.
  • Perform schematic capture, guide PCB layout, and oversee board bring-up and debug processes.
  • Conduct thorough hardware validation, characterization, and reliability testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and industrial design to ensure seamless product integration.
  • Evaluate and select critical components, managing relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Analyze system performance and optimize for power efficiency, signal integrity, and cost.
  • Document design specifications, test plans, and production procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues throughout the product development cycle.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and apply them to product development.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development.
  • Strong proficiency in digital and/or analog circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer).
  • Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC principles.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Proven ability to debug complex hardware issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces (e.g., USB, PCIe, DisplayPort).
  • Familiarity with RF design, power management, or battery technology.
  • Experience in designing for high-volume consumer electronics.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
  • Prior experience leading design blocks or small projects.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles.
