Job Description

You’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products, all while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products, verifying quantities against shipping documents.
  • Efficiently pick and stage outbound orders according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner (training provided if necessary).
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring accuracy of stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with loading trucks for delivery, ensuring products are secured and properly arranged.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels and completing paperwork
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution setting
  • Experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment (certification an asset, but not required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems
