Key Responsibilities
- Execute nightly stocking and merchandising tasks, ensuring shelves are fully stocked, faced, and organized according to planograms.
- Process incoming shipments, including unpacking, verifying, and organizing inventory in stockrooms and on the sales floor.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, and dusting shelves.
- Operate cash register and handle customer transactions, if applicable during late-night operational hours (minimal customer interaction expected).
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in loss prevention efforts by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare the store for the opening shift, ensuring all displays are ready and the environment is welcoming for morning customers.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve nightly operational goals efficiently and effectively.
- Address any immediate operational needs or minor maintenance issues as they arise, reporting larger concerns to management.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and bending/reaching.
- Excellent time management skills and a commitment to punctuality.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment, particularly in a night shift role.
- Familiarity with inventory management procedures and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new tasks quickly.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of store presentation and operational efficiency.
