Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, provide professional and friendly service, and address their needs promptly and efficiently.
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash, credit, and other payment transactions accurately, maintaining transaction integrity.
  • Assist customers in locating products, offer detailed product information, and make relevant recommendations when appropriate, enhancing their shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment, ensuring shelves are consistently stocked, merchandise is neatly arranged, and displays are appealing.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and customer complaints in a courteous, understanding, and effective manner, aiming for satisfactory resolutions.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with team members to ensure smooth store operations and consistently outstanding customer experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, loss prevention, and health regulations.
  • Support pharmacy and front-end operations as needed, maintaining strict privacy and confidentiality of all customer information and transactions.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service, demonstrating patience and empathy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems, or ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to team success.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted, performing physical tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience of at least 6 months in a retail, customer service, or healthcare support setting.
  • Familiarity with Walgreens products and services, or a general interest in health and wellness.
